Rolley Blog
With this week marking Dan's first year at Rolley, we ask him to describe the journey so far.
What motivated you to join Rolley, and how has your journey been so far?
For me it was the opportunity to join a start-up company at the very beginning of its journey. It was the chance to help build something from the ground up and I’ve loved every minute of it.
The draw of reuniting with the Rollinson brothers was also pretty big too.
Reflecting on the past year, what accomplishments are you most proud of in your role?
I would say the relationships that we’ve established with our clients. We really enjoy the collaborative side of the job and for that to really work it’s important we’re able to earn their trust.
Letting us be a part of their idea and helping them bring it to life will never stop being fun and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far through close collaboration with our clients.
What new skills have you acquired along the way?
The main thing has been the general day-to-day aspects of helping to run a business, particularly the legal and contractual side of things which has been fun馃槉
As we’re still relatively small, we need to be able to wear many different hats, so my role has included everything from project management to business development to wireframing!
Matt has even tried to teach me to code but I think that’s best left to the professionals! (Our clients have nothing to worry about).
What are you most looking forward to within the next year?
Adding new faces to the Rolley team and growing the list of potential services we can offer to clients. That’s been the aim since day one and we’ll shortly be announcing some exciting news so keep your eyes peeled 馃槉
What are your goals and aspirations for the upcoming year in your role?
Wow, there’s a lot. Winning some awards for our clients would definitely be up there!
And finally, it had to be asked – what is your favourite biscuit?
The Chocolate Hobnob. The undisputed GOAT of the biscuit genre thanks to its durability when dunked.
